Frost resistance

Frost resistance is determined by the degree of water absorption of the tile (ie it does not provide water to freeze it). For tiles for indoor use is not required frost resistance and moisture absorption is usually more than 10 %. In contrast, frost-resistant glazed tiles have an absorption of up to 3 %. For exterior are suitable sintered tiles with water absorption below 0.5 %.

Use of glazed tiles by abrasion resistance:

Class PEI III. - designed for floors exposed to frequent pollution, eg. In apartments and houses, with the exception of inputs. It is designed for the hall, loggias, balconies, hallways, home kitchens, hotel rooms, sanitation and therapeutic rooms in hospitals.

Anti-Slip Rate

The slip resistance value is determined by the slip level on the inclined surface and is approved in most countries. According to the slip angle, they are classified into five classes with suitability for use in specific areas for the safe movement of persons.

R10: Slip angle from 10° to 19°
Suitable for cloakrooms, packaged food stores, garages, warehouses, toilets in schools.

Matte surface

Matt glaze tile.

Wall tiles

Tiles can only be used for application on the wall (= a tile).

Floor tiles

Tiles suitable for laying on the floor (= like tiles), also can be used for wall cladding.
